Apart from all of it's benefits, consuming raw eggs has it's own drawbacks. Having diet rich in raw eggs can cause Biotin deficiency in human.
 So what is Biotin?
Biotin is a water soluble vitamin which is also known as vitamin B7 or vitamin H. Biotin mainly  acts a agent to convert nutrients to energy thus it is an energy releasing vitamin.
Biotin also plays a key role in maintaining growth of your skin, nails and hair. thus biotin deficiency can cause hair loss, scaly dermatitis, anorexia and eventually death.
So how does raw eggs promote biotin deficiency?
As raw eggs are abundant in proteins, a protein occurring in egg whites called Avidin. Avidin is normally pulled down during the process of cooking egg but it is present in raw eggs. A significant amount of Avidin in your diet binds with Biotin when it is released, and prevents its absorption. less absorption of biotin progress to develop its deficiency. The symptoms include nausea, frequent vomiting, scaly dermatitis, desquamation of lips, anorexia and depression. Though biotin deficiency is not very common but raw eggs can be a factor leading to biotin deficiency.
Medical Guideline:
Raw eggs are a great source of nutrition but you must avoid raw eggs consumption for prolong period. A less amount of raw eggs for a small time period is helpful for your health.
